The Process
The plant consists of three stages, where crushing takes place­ – Primary, Secondary and Tertiary stage.

Boulder rock brought from quarries after drilling, blasting, segregation and transportation to the plant, is fed into to the Primary stage consisting of one Jaw Crusher that sizes down the Stone to produce 150mm aggregate.

This is then fed into the Secondary stage consisting of one Jaw Crusher / one Cone Crusher ( based on requirements ) to produce 40 mm size aggregate which in turn is fed into the Tertiary stage consisting one Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI),  that produces  Round  sand and aggregates of the required gradation & shape.

The plant works on the principle of continuous feed in closed stages and adopts techniques synonymous with nature's process on river sand.
Benefits of Crystal Sand
Crystal Sand
  • Crystal sand doesn't contain impurities like silt & Silica etc. This sand doesn't contain any organic material, so strength of the structure remains same
  • Crystal sand is made from only one type of stone, hence the binding strength between the particles is good
  • Gives better compressive strength as compared to river Sand
  • This sand have proper gradation of coarse and fine aggregates, so voids are filled completely .This minimizes, cement consumption
  • As the voids are filled properly, strength of the concrete is achieved
  • Crystal sand has constant Fineness modules of aggregate, so no necessity of the change in concrete mix design
  • Can be produced in ample quantity, so it is cheaper as compared to natural sand
  • It is manufactured from the by-product (i.e. 6 mm/ 12 mm material) of Crushers, so it is not much harmful to the nature
  • This sand is best as per Vaastu-shastra, as it doesn't contains any pieces of Bones, etc.
  • Natural (River) Sand
  • This sand contains impurities like silt, Silica etc Natural sand contains organic impurities like pieces of wood, leaves, bones etc which after some time duration gets decayed and weakens strength of structure
  • It is made from different type of Stones, so binding strength varies
  • Gives low Compressive strength as compares to Crystal sand
  • Natural sand which is available today, don't have fines below 600 microns in proper gradation. So, voids in the concrete are not filled properly & also increases cement consumption
  • As the voids are not filled properly, strength of the concrete is not achieved
  • As every truck of Natural sand has different Fineness modules, every time the mixture of concrete has to be changed
  • Available in less quantity so, it is costlier
  • Because of Sand Dragging, river beds had became deep, it harmful to nature
  • This Sand contains Pieces of Bones, etc. so it is not suitable as per Vaastu-shastra
